MoonHawk
MoonHawk’s earliest memories of religion is learning the words to Puff the Magic Dragon in Unitarian Sunday School. After his family converted to Episcopalianism, MoonHawk became actively involved with the church as an Acolyte and lay reader. During these years he considered becoming an Episcopal Priest but became disillusioned seeing the church and Sunday service as something people went to more to be ‘seen’ than for spiritual growth.
First introduced to Wicca and Paganism through a close friend, he found the experiential nature of Divine Feminism worship intriguing along with the balance that it provided to what he saw as the Patriarchal and dogmatic approach of Christianity. In college, MoonHawk studied Philosophy and Religion. Drawn to the writings of the early Church and seeing less and less of a difference beyond the superficial trappings MoonHawk started and continues to practice what some have termed ChristoPaganism; the belief that Pagan ritual and magick is not rejecting Christian faith, but rather enhancing the understanding of that which exist beyond Time, Space, Male and Female. He sees no conflict in holding what some see as diametrically opposed views; still believing in the Mystery of Transubstantiation, the Divinity of Christ and all the Divines creations, for we all have the breath of the Divine within us.
Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.Genesis 2:7
